Official Orders

Today I got my Official Military Orders. I am to report to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas from July 14th to September 16th. Then my orders state that I am to report to Fort Hood in Killeen Texas on September 30th. So that is an even 14 days, maybe there is 2 weeks of leave in there to come home? Although I would not be able to be home for the full 14 days because of finding a place to live in Killeen. However I am told the housing is cheap there so that is a BIG plus. So for now until I leave its more running, push-ups and sit-ups!

I am now officially an RN!

So I found out yesterday that I passed the NCLEX! The national test everyone must take to attain their RN license. Passing school isn't enough. So now I can finally be called an RN. It's nice to have the 'RN, EMT-IV' behind your name. What other acronyms should I get? We will see what the future holds but I plan on having most of the alphabet attached to the end of my name (or front of it for Army purposes like rank and title) I e-mailed my recruiter and my direct commander letting them know that I passed, orders for a leave date should be here soon now! The two possibilities as of now are leaving in July or in October. San Antonio is going to be HOT in July, but I don't want to wait till October either. Oh well, welcome to government work huh?
